Downey Invisalign Dentist

Transform your appearance and boost your confidence with Invisalign, the invisible solution to get that smile you’ve always dreamed of.  With Invisalign, unless you tell, no one knows you’re wearing it. Because it uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth, Invisalign is the alternative solution to the more traditional dental braces.

In the past, getting braces has meant years of painful adjustments and struggles with self-image. Invisalign changed the face of orthodontics for over half a million satisfied patients when it was introduced in 1999. Instead of wires or bands attached to the outside of your teeth, Invisalign treatment utilizes cutting edge technology to prepare a series of clear plastic molds of your teeth during each stage of alignment.  At John McAllister DDS, we check on your progress and give you the next mold or “aligner” every two weeks to keep your treatment on track.

Because the aligners are removable, this makes eating, brushing, and flossing easier. They move your teeth into place gradually in a much shorter length of time than normal braces would. That’s because each aligner is individually manufactured and custom-made to gradually shift your teeth into place. With Invisalign, you see the results in six months to a year. It can improve the smiles of anyone with crossbites, overbites, underbites, crowded teeth or teeth that are spaced too far apart.

Invisalign is the solution that’s worth smiling about. It has worked for over a million smiles. It’s comfortable to wear and easy to live with. Call us now at John McAllister DDS to get the smile you’ve always wanted.

A couple of years ago if you wanted to find an Invisalign dentist, London was about the only place you’d be likely to find one, Today however, you can find an Invisalign dentist in almost any town or city you visit, and it’s no surprise that the products and services which they can offer are proving so popular.

If you haven’t yet heard of Invisalign, they are able to provide what is often referred to as invisible braces, or clear braces, providing teeth alignment for people without the need for them to wear very visible braces. Until fairly recently if you wanted to have your teeth straightened there was really only one choice – metal wire braces.

But since these are often uncomfortable and inconvenient, not to mention highly visible and visually distracting, not many people decided to take advantage of the opportunities. Now however more people than ever are discovering the advantages of having teeth alignment without the inconvenience, discomfort or visual appearance associated with traditional braces.

So whether you visit an Invisalign dentist in London, or anywhere else in the UK, the service you’ll get will be a good deal more satisfactory than teeth alignment has been traditionally. But although many people visit Invisalign dentists to be fitted for clear braces because of the fact that the clear braces are less obtrusive and much harder to see, this isn’t the only reason. For some people the fact that the braces are virtually undetectable is certainly an advantage, but not the main reason for choosing them.

Unlike with traditional metal braces where you could expect to be wearing them for two to three years, invisible braces manage to achieve the same result in much less time – a year to 18 months at most.

In fact, the results are often much better than those achieve with traditional metal braces. So how is it possible to achieve more accurate and pleasing results in less time, and with braces which are virtually invisible?

It all sounds a little farfetched, and many people don’t investigate further because they’re so certain that there must be a catch somewhere. In fact there s no catch, other than the fact that you’ll need to visit your Invisalign dentist every two weeks, and you’ll heed to be self disciplined enough to commit to wearing the braces for a minimum of 23 hours out of every 24 hour period. But other than these two points, the advantages are very clear to see. So how does it all work, and what can you expect to happen when you visit your Invisalign dentist?

The first thing to happen is that you’ll be able to discuss your needs with the dentist, and after a thorough examination they’ll decide whether you are suitable for wearing clear braces. If so, then a high resolution scan of your teeth and gums will be taken, and fed into a computer where the dentist will be able to manipulate each individual tooth, moving them into the ideal alignment. The computer then creates a series of interim stages between your existing teeth, and the alignment created by the dentist.

A series of clear braces are then produced, each of which is a stage between the current position and angle of your teeth, and the next. The invisible braces are a little like slim gum shields that slide over your teeth, exerting pressure in a pre planned way. After a couple of weeks the dentist will issue you with the next set, until the teeth alignment process is complete. The entire process is comfortable and hygienic, with the end result being known not only by the dentist, but by you, as you’ll be able to see the virtual reality model of your teeth created by the Invisalign dentist in London.
